My specialities are Drama and English poetry. My essays have appeared in many publications abroad including PN Review, The Chicago Review and Plays International, and I contributed articles to The Oxford Companion to Twentieth-Century Poetry in English. I am the course director for the Hosou Daigaku’s ‘ Poem into Song.’ I have performed in Britain and throughout Japan and directed a number of plays and operas.
